Why you are interested in UX design, UI design, or user experience
As a Computer Science student pursuing a career in Software Engineering. UI/UX is very important to enhance user experience for any software I would be writing and designing. I have always liked well designed UI and how thoughtful the deign and layout is.

Any prior experience related to design, usability, or digital products
I have created web apps and designed UIs for software applications through the use of various software tools. I have a lot of experience with bad and good UIs due to my experience in software engineering. I also have used a lot software applications and have built a mental note of good and bad UI choices.

One or two fun or personal facts (related to creativity, technology, or interests)
I am very interested in technology and have been for most of my life. I started programming in 2019 but never dove into UI until later. I also like building PCs and gaming.

I have experience making wireframes, rough outlines, and user flows. This is important when designing software and planning it out. I have designed user flow for phone apps and websites. I also have experience creating mockups for the button/form placements.

I want to make better designed UIs. Most of my software experience is related to backend work and I lack experience with making clean and functional UIs.

I hope to learn to make mockups better and learn the standards of UI design.

I am most excited for prototyping since I will be testing any designs I make in the class.
